After playing as an opener for Waterparks at the same venue less than six months ago, iDKHOW returned to The Webster Theater, this time as a part of their own headlining tour. iDKHOW (short for I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME) has been gaining traction quickly. Dallon Weeks, the band’s lead vocalist, guitarist and synth player, left hit band Panic! At The Disco in 2017 to focus on iDKHOW, and brought on board Ryan Seaman who plays drums and percussion. Since then, iDKHOW has gained a large base of die-hard fans, some of whom swooned at the idea of the band members having touched the door of the tour bus as they passed it while entering the venue. As pride month approaches, it was lovely to see how many LGBTQ members the band attracts. A scan of the crowd revealed rainbow apparel scattered throughout and same-sex partners showing affection for their significant others. In a world still currently ridden with separation and judgement of our fellow beings, bands such as iDKHOW help young people (and adults alike) to feel accepted and included. With only two band members on stage, one might think their performance may fall flat, however that could not be further from the truth. iDKHOW is rising quickly and their rise is expected to continue.
